It is Primary Election time and you should have received your ballots by now.
Voter turnout in the last six midterm elections in California has ranged from 31% to 49%. Interest level is low in midterms and even lower in the primary elections. Getting Republicans out to vote is essential since we are only 25% of the registered voters in California. If 70% of Republicans vote while only 45% of Democrats vote, we can break the stranglehold the Democratic supermajority has on California. We MUST get Republicans out to vote in this election.
Terrible policies by the current elected Democrats are responsible for the highest gasoline prices in the country, poorest school test scores and graduation rates in the country, major businesses and industries moving out of state, insurance prices skyrocketing or refusing issuance to customers, bureaucracy inhibiting the rebuilding of Pacific Palisades homes, runaway and unbalanced state budget, terrible public safety, massive homelessness problem, open border crisis, fentanyl deaths, and demonization of parents by public school officials. We must stop this madness being forced on us by irresponsible State officers and legislators. And every Democratic candidate is promising more of the same.
We have two excellent Governor candidates in Steve Hilton and Chad Bianco. Get out and sell them. If both of these candidates are in the Top Two, we will guarantee our next Governor will be intelligent, practical, and responsive to the needs of California Residents. And the trickledown effect for down ballot candidates in November will be life changing for every person in our beautiful state.
I cannot stress enough how important it is for each of us to vote. And we must convince all our family members, friends, neighbors to vote as well. Many of us are working with local campaigns to get out Republican voters by phone banking, door knocking, and sign waving. This is important, but do not forget to convince your closest relationships to vote.
Educate your families and friends on the candidates and issues on your ballot. In Los Angeles County, we have yet another sales tax increase on the ballot. Say NO to more taxes. There are numerous judges to be elected as well. Get your information on candidates from reliable sources who do their due diligence in recommending and endorsing candidates.
It is not realistic to think we can win every race, but we must re-elect our Republican incumbents while we add many more Republicans to California State offices, Congress, Assembly and State Senate. Closer to our own living condition is the importance of electing our local candidates in city council, water board, and school board offices.
We have a great opportunity to reduce the one party dominated legislature.
Vote Republicans. Vote.
